Ross, the writer and photographer behind This Texan Travels, is a native Texan who has always been interested in history and the quirks behind each place he visits. He was born in deep South Texas, grew up in Victoria, moved to San Antonio, graduated from St. Mary’s University, and now resides in Yoakum. He travels around Texas quite a bit for his job, as well as in his free time, taking side roads and detours into some of the richest history in the state.
