Built in 1913, the architect of this beautiful federal-style building was Henry Phelps.

Nice World War I memorial inside the building.

Original interior seems mostly intact. Marble-lined walls are common in courthouses from this era.

Nice skylight!

Antique gas radiator even has some style!

Mills County has about 5,000 residents. Goldthwaite calls itself the “Gateway to the Hill Country.”

WPA corner stone from 1939. I’m not sure what they did since the building was built in 1913.
