San Saba County – San Saba, TX

Built in 1910, this is not a “cookie-cutter” courthouse! It needs a restoration badly, but the original beauty still shines though the age.

Below is the front of the building.

It’s not a pay phone. It’s a free phone!

Don’t mess with the mob!

Great day for photos!

This is the back of the courthouse. Same signage as the front, plus a bonus fire escape ladder!

The courtroom has a balcony level, unfortunately closed off by a drop ceiling. A restoration back to the original high ceilings would be awesome.

Such a simple corner stone.

More details on the interior marble stone. Closely reading the stone indicates at the time the building was built and the stone was placed, San Saba County elected a new commissioners court and county clerk.

Interesting clock tower.

Nice little park just outside town.

Honest pickup truck.
